Hi, I’m Dr. Saraí V. Mancías

I believe therapy can be a space to slow down, better understand yourself, and feel supported through life’s challenges

Why Seen & Heard Therapy?

I created Seen & Heard Therapy because I believe everyone deserves a space where they can feel understood, accepted, and supported. Too often, people carry difficult thoughts, emotions, and experiences while continuing to meet the demands of work, school, relationships, and everyday life.

Therapy can be an opportunity to slow down, make sense of what's been weighing on you, and reconnect with yourself in a meaningful way. My hope is that you leave therapy feeling more connected to yourself and confident in your ability to navigate life's challenges.

Hi, I’m Saraí

As a psychologist, I believe therapy is about more than reducing symptoms. It's about creating space to better understand yourself, navigate challenges with greater confidence, and build a life that feels more aligned with who you are and what matters most to you.

I specialize in working with adults, especially college students and young professionals, who are used to showing up for everyone else while carrying more than most people realize. Often, they are the strong one, the responsible one, or the person others rely on, and carrying that role can become exhausting over time.

My goal is to provide a space where you can slow down, gain insight, and explore your experiences without judgment. I believe meaningful change happens through curiosity, self-compassion, and small, realistic steps forward.

Helping adults feel more connected to themselves and their lives

A Few Things About Me

What I value:

Authenticity, connection, and self-compassion.

My favorite way to recharge:

Spending quality time with family and friends, fishing, working on a puzzle, and enjoying a good cup of coffee.

What I love most about my work:

Helping clients slow down, better understand themselves, and approach their experiences with curiosity, compassion, and greater self-awareness.

A reminder I come back to often:

Go at your own pace. You don’t have to match the timeline, expectations, or journey of anyone else.

What clients can expect from me:

Warmth, compassion, collaboration, and a space where you can show up exactly as you are.

What I hope clients experience in therapy:

Feeling more connected to yourself, more confident in your ability to navigate challenges, and less alone in the process.

My Approach

A warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental space

I believe meaningful change begins when we slow down long enough to understand what's really going on beneath the surface. So often, we criticize ourselves for how we feel, react, or cope. In therapy, we'll take a different approach by getting curious about your experiences and exploring them with compassion rather than criticism.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and client-centered. I draw from strengths-based, solution-focused, and systems perspectives while creating space to slow down, process your experiences, and develop greater self-awareness. Together, we'll work to better understand patterns, navigate life's challenges, and build on the strengths you already have. Through this process, you'll gain a deeper understanding of yourself, your experiences, and the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, helping you make more intentional choices and create meaningful change.

Ready to take the next step?

Taking the first step can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. A free 15-minute consultation is an opportunity to ask questions, learn more about my approach, and see whether working together feels like the right fit.
